Founding Attorney
Glenn E. Cooper has a lifetime of experience helping others, and more than three decades fighting for his clients in Georgia courtrooms.
Glenn E. Cooper has a lifetime of experiences in helping others. Prior to attending law school, Glenn was a social worker with an emphasis in drug and alcohol rehabilitation. As an attorney, he has actively defended his clients through criminal defense and domestic law for the last 34 years, and has had a thriving immigration law practice for the past 10 years.
Mr. Cooper’s concern for people and families propelled him into all family law cases, including custody, family violence, child support, and divorce. His practice also has an emphasis in criminal defense, from all misdemeanors to all felonies, where he is ready to take cases to jury trial and aggressively represent his clients. He also recognizes that his negotiation skills are just as important as his trial skills in reaching the best resolution for his clients. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Atlanta Law School in 1987 and chose to practice in Georgia, which he favored for its compassionate, knowledgeable judges.
Volunteerism is another priority in Mr. Cooper’s profession. He is a firm believer in counseling before divorce and is very aware of the effects divorce has on children; his team is available to counsel clients through these difficult situations. Mr. Cooper has the honor of being appointed by many judges as a Guardian ad Litem to assist the courts in custody disputes and ascertain what is in the best interest of the children. He has also received the Pro Bono Project Award.
A litigation and trial attorney by profession, Mr. Cooper has set himself above many other family practice lawyers. He holds an unwavering belief that people should try to mediate and resolve issues before going through a divorce, and he is committed to making his clients’ experiences less traumatizing, while remaining ready to aggressively litigate when a case demands it.
In 2021, Mr. Cooper received an appointment in the Fulton County Superior Court / Family Court Division as a Judicial Officer/Judge. This is a part-time position, as he still maintains his practice along with his partner, Mr. Shair.
